Hi friends! This past weekend was a simple one for us. I really wanted to drive to Peru and see the beautiful flowers on one road in particular...and we did, only the leaves haven't really changed there yet. Don't worry, I am already planning another trip to revisit. Good thing it's only 30 minutes from our house. We did see some beautiful fall colors on the drive though. I love this time of year so so much!
While driving and taking in the scenery, Miss L fell asleep and we were so thankful she would get a good car nap in. We headed to Kokomo for some grocery shopping and a stop at Sams Club. It was nice to do our shopping someplace different from where we usually go. Sometimes a change of scenery is needed, ya know? We came home in the early evening and just spent time as a family and had pizza for dinner. It was a perfect evening in my book.
Oh and yeah, we still don't have living room furniture. It should be delivered today. Can you hear the angels singing!? I sure can!!! :)
Sunday we were up early and dressed for church early too so we were able to snap some pictures before we left. Lilly wore a new smocked dress that was actually advertised as a Christmas dress, but I think it works beautifully for fall too. AND I didn't even know I had a headband/flower combo that would match perfectly. In my mind, it was meant to be! We have not been leaving Lilly in the nursery at church for different reasons, but that means that I am usually wrestling with her in the cry room...not because she is crying but just because she talks and it loud...but this week I had the brilliant (if I do say so myself) idea to wear the Boba wrap. Second service is right when she needs to nap, but when she isn't in the wrap she is too concerned with what's going on around her and all the people ohhing and aghhing over her that she fights sleep. Bad. Well, the wrap greatly helped with that this week. She slept through the entire service and I got to sit in the sanctuary on the pew with Stephen. Score! I felt so blessed to actually hear the sermon this week and know that my week is going to reflect that. Thank you Lord for this blessing!
Okay, so onto the pictures from Sunday:
This smile? I just love it so much!
L wasn't feeling the pictures at this point...
This face? That's a sleepy face!
Loving our leaves on our front tree. Fall is so beautiful here!

Sunday afternoon I made Lilly's baby food for the week, Stephen planted nearly 200 tulips bulbs, we played outside on a blanket with Louie and we had a surprise visit from Stephen's parents-which Lilly loved! It was a great day as a family in our little home!
Stephen took a bath with Lilly Sunday night while I did something #bestdaddyaward...I think cleaned the kitchen(?). Anyways. I promised I wouldn't post the pictures of him in the tub with her (he had a swimsuit on) but I am so thankful that he did this with her because I really think it will be a sweet memory. I have taken a bath with her several times and it really is so much fun. In fact, for months I have had a swimsuit just hanging in our shower for times like this. She loves bath time anyways, but add Mommy or Daddy to the mix and she is over the moon excited. I love it! Here are some bath-time pics of my favorite girl:
Sidenote: can you see her two bottom teeth!?!? #proudmomma
Such a simple and fun weekend!
